Canonball 3 |
Confined
Space Gas Detector
|
|
When you're working in hazardous areas under harsh environmental
conditions, the last thing you want to worry about is your gas detector.
The easy-to-use Cannonball3 was designed to handle the worst that
Mother Nature can dish out while delivering the high level of safety
and reliability that you've come to expect from Biosystems.
The Cannonball3 is designed for the detection of oxygen deficiencies,
flammable gases and vapors and a large number of toxic gases. The
oversized display features a scratch-resistant, self-healing overlay
and is the largest in its class. To keep the Cannonball3 up and
running and to ease maintenance issues, the Cannonball3 features
modular internal pump, batteries and filters that can be quickly
replaced in the field.
More features than any other Biosystems gas detector, rugged enough
for the harshest environment!
KEY FEATURES
Rugged and weatherproof The durable and impact-resistant case is
sealed from the outside elements, allowing the Cannonball3 to operate
reliably in the harshest environments. RFI shielding prevents operating
interference with two-way radios and other electronic devices.
|
|
Oversized
display for easy reading The large display ensures that readings
are easy to view from several feet away or when visibility is
limited. The display also features a scratch-resistant, self-healing
urethane overlay that will keep the display clear and easy to
read even after years of use.
Dilution pump For proper monitoring of combustible gases and
vapors in oxygen deficient (less than 10%) or oxygen-free (fully
inerted) environments. Optional dual internal pump module furnishes
a set ratio of ambient air (or known fresh air source via remote
attachment) with the sampled gas stream to enable the accurate
measure of combustible gas/vapor in any conditions. Detector
operating system can provide direct readings without the need
for dilution factor "adjustment" or further conversion.
Large control buttons The MODE button and navigation arrows
are designed for use with a gloved hand.
Unique visual alarms The three bright visual alarms on the Cannonball3
ensure that at least one of the LEDs can be viewed at all times.
Easy and convenient calibration One-button calibration and automatic
recording of the last 10 calibration dates and times make the
Cannonball3 easy to use.
HC-PPM LEL sensor Available with optional, high-sensitivity
LEL sensor capable of displaying trace PPM-level combustible
gases & vapors. In addition to the standard %LEL scale,
the PPM scale (with 10 PPM resolution)
|
|
provides broad-range monitoring capability for nearly all toxic
combustible gases and vapors to address both health & safety
concerns. Percent LEL and PPM response scales can be directly
linked or de-coupled to monitor for different gases/vapors across
the two ranges. Internal gas/vapor library provides handy reference
tool for input of common gas/vapor %LEL, PPM relationship.
Interchangeable battery packs The Cannonball3 includes your
choice of a rechargeable NiMH battery back or an Alkaline battery
pack that uses 5 D-cell alkaline batteries. Battery packs are
fully interchangeable.
* The NiMH battery pack provides up to 16 hours of use between
charges.
* The Alkaline battery pack provides up to 24 hours of use between
battery changes.
Internal pump The Cannonball3 automatically runs a pump test
before each use to ensure that the pump and sample draw assembly
are leak-free. The pump can draw the sample up to 200' for common
gases/vapors (O2/LEL/CO/H2S) with standard (3/16" ID) fuel-resistant
tubing.
Black box data recorder A built-in data recorder comes as standard
equipment on the Cannonball3. The data recorder automatically
logs information including sensor readings and provides a record
of atmospheric conditions during operation. |

* Turn on the backlight
Extra large display -- 2" by 1.5" (5.1 by 3.8 cm) easy-to-read,
large, front-mounted backlit display.
Optional built-in pump -- fully automated testing with built-in
motorized sample draw pump.
* Automatic switching between pump and diffusion modes.
* Factory installed.
* Automatic pump leak test before every use. |
|
Rugged
and weatherproof -- watertight, impact-resistant, chrome-plated
ABS case.
* Rated to IPX5/IPX7 against water ingress (immersible). RFI
Protection -- immune to Radio Frequency Interference to 40 V/m.
Long Battery Life -- for extended periods of continual
use between charges.
* The NiMH battery pack provides up to 20 hours of use in diffusion
mode and up to 16 hours with the pump on between charges.
* The Alkaline battery pack provides up to 16 hours of use in
diffusion mode and up to 12 hours with the pump on between battery
changes.
